In training ..........

Not being one to miss an opportunity, I decided to enter a snap shot of myself in to a Spring Photo competition ............

You'll probably remember the photo from my Spring Time blog .......

People must have thought it a good shot because I ended up winning the competition!

Here's what I won .........

84 quids worth of lovely
L'Occitane toiletries ... RESULT!

So, after some thought, I came up with the idea of running my own prize draw in conjunction with a SIX MILE sponsored walk around the site of our new Wildlife Hospital.

For every £1, sponsors get an entry in to my prize draw.

So far I have £125 worth of sponsors ........ so I thought it about time I got in some  serious training!

So it was off down to Sissinghurst for some country walking!

Here's me checking out the map
whilst my driver parks the car!

Sissinghurst began life as a Saxon pig farm and within a few wealthy years became a small moated manor house.

Looks like a nice place, best go and pay my entrance fee!

"Eleven ruddy quid to visit a pig farm .......
you gotta be 'avin a 'bubble bath'"!

First stop ........ tea shop!

Training warm up ..... legging it past someone's Grandad to get the last window seat!

Slice of cake for energy
and cup of tea for hydration!

Then it was time to do some serious walking .........

Bingo!

Down the garden path ............

Around the lakes ............

Through the woods ..........

Beautiful Bluebells ..........

Think I might jog this bit ............

Phew ... bit puffed ......
time for a sit down ..............

Shame about the bird plop!

Then it was back around the other side of the lakes for a walk around the beautiful gardens ......

A bit of climbing practise
in the ornamental trees ........

Hmmm ..... wonder what's so private .........

Time for my ascent of the tower .........

"Jeese ........ feelin' a bit wibbly"

WOW ...... that was worth the climb
and the £11 entrance fee!

Well 'urned' rest ...... hahahaha .....
No, I didn't think it was that funny either!

Oooo ....... wonder what's in there?

"Hello Pussy" ........ love that handsome mane!

Decided to give the swim in the moat a miss ........
didn't want to come out smelling of Fish and Ducks!

Bit embarrassing .......
so worn out I fell asleep on the national trust teapot
and had to be carried back to the car!

Pretty pleased with my training ........ and after a well earned sleep I set about making a 'Fox-Ometer' to keep a tally of my sponsor money.

As usual I've decided to share my artwork and make a little sheet of my 'Fox-Ometer' ..... just in case you ever have the need to keep track of any important statistics!
