Easy Peasey Mince Pie Buns

It's not easy being a domestic goddess!

But if you want to win favour with your family and friends ...... make these Easy Peasey Mince Pie Buns.

I take some pie buns around to Squirrel's gaff every year and she is always impressed, especially when I tell a little fib and make out that I've made them from scratch!  Hee hee

Get yourself the following ingredients:

A jar or two of mince meat.
500g ready-made puff pastry.
Flour for dusting.
Icing sugar, for sprinkling on top.
Edible glitter .... if you are really posh.
Then .......

Preheat the oven to 190C - Gas mark 5.
Cut the pastry in half and roll half out at a time.  Roll the pastry out thinly on a lightly floured board.

Cut the pastry in to 6 equal squares. Place spoonfuls of the filling mixture onto the centre of each square.

Pull the pastry up around the filling, squish twist the edges together.

Turn over the pie bun and press it down a little bit.  Put on to a greased baking tray.

Cut a little cross in the top of each pie bun to let the heat out when cooking.

Put the pie buns in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they are golden brown!

Allow to cool on a cooling rack and dust with icing sugar and edible glitter!

I used my special edible stars on mine!
